Synopsis for "The Catastrophic Weapons of Major Disaster!"

When people who take out insurance at Evergreen Insurance company suddenly have near fatal incidents with the various things they've insured themselves against (such as meteor strikes and other such ridiculous insurances) people come flocking to the Evergreen Insurance to get out policies that seem to literally work.

When criminals start taking out insurance that will prevent them from being captured, Hal -- as Green Lantern -- is shocked when it actually works, at least at first. Hal soon stumbles upon the mastermind of the plot: Major Disaster, who survived their last encounter because he created a failsafe in his disaster machines that would resurrect him if he ever died by their hands.

Battling Disaster, Hal manages to defeat him and also use his power ring to make it impossible for Disaster to tell anyone either Green Lantern, or the Flash's secret identities. When he is turned over to the police, Major Disaster tries to tell the press Green Lantern's secret identity, but whenever he tries his voice cuts out. With Disaster defeated and his identity preserved, Hal returns to his job to learn that he's been given a weeks vacation.
