Synopsis for "Emerald Knights, Part Three: Strange Bedfellows"

Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan teleport into the Watchtower and are welcomed by the current members of the JLA (excluding Batman). Kyle already explained to them how a young Hal Jordan got into this time era. Although the reception of the JLA seems neutral, they have agreed to offer Hal membership which Hal quickly accepts. But Kyle is disappointed because he thinks that the JLA no longer needs him. Flash tries to appease Kyle, but he just teleports back to Earth.

Kyle gets back to New York just in time as a skyscraper is rocked by a bomb explosion. Kyle saves a lot of lives this evening, but the police are more concerned with the property damage he inflicted with his actions. Angrily, Kyle flies to his apartment and tells Jade what caused his bad mood. Jade is very appreciative and after she assures Kyle that he can always count on her support they kiss each other.

Later that night, Batman appears in Kyle's bedroom and tells him that he agreed to make Hal a member of the JLA to keep an eye on him because he does not trust him. And Batman also makes it clear to Kyle that he still is the Green Lantern of the JLA and that all members trust him with their lives …
