Synopsis for "Swiped!"

A famous Pop Artist makes a name for himself painting large panels from old gangster comics. He then kidnaps the original comic artist and forces him to be his assistant. The assistant goes along with it for awhile, but becomes jealous that he's not receiving any of the credit. He plans to kill the Pop Artist, but then two thugs bust into the studio, with a kidnapped Greyshirt, who was tailing them. During the tussle, one of the mobsters and the Pop Artist are shot. The cops come, Greyshirt leaves and the comic artist continues his career ghosting for other artist.

Notes

  • This book was first published on November 14, 2001.
  • "Andy Savannah," is portraying the King of Pop Art, Andy Warhol, though his "large comic panels" resemble Roy Lichtenstein's.
