Synopsis for "Yesterday's Sins, Part 1: Back in the Days"

An alien race called The Draal kidnaps Guy Gardner. They intended to get the other Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, but the Draals deem Guy a worthier subject due to his yellow ring. Beamed away from Earth, Guy encounters his captors in a spaceship and falls unconscious.

He then wakes up without his ring in a containment cell, where he meets other kidnapped Green Lanterns, including Graf Toren, Voz, and RRU-9-2. They explain that some of them have been there for over an Earth year, and they tried everything to escape. The Draals kidnapped all of them for the same purpose: to replicate them and send their clones to their home planets. Before Guy can understand everything that's happening, the Draals take Guy away for his first mind probe.

They take Guy to a lab, where he sees the Draals have already created a copy of his body. They connect his head to a machine, and Guy starts reliving his past: waking up in his childhood home, being beaten by his abusive father, getting grounded at school, and then receiving another beating.

When the mind-probing ends, Guy wakes up again in the containment cell with the Green Lanterns. Instead of sitting there and doing nothing, Guy is determined to escape from their captors, even if he has to do it alone.
