H.L. Gold (b. April 26, 1914 – d.February 21, 1996) was a writer.

Professional History

Horace Gold was a science fiction writer and occasional editor. He worked briefly for DC Comics on a few issues of Strange Adventures and one issue of Detective Comics. However his career in comics was ended when he was drafted to World War II. Upon his return in 1946, Golden started working for several other magazines along with his brother Floyd Gold.

Personal History

Gold moved to the United States at the age of two. He was drafted in to the US Army during the Second World War. After this, he married marriage to Evelyn Stein, but divorced in 1957. His married a second time to Muriel Conley.

Gold died in 1996 in Laguna Hills, California.
