H. Rider Haggard (b. June 22, 1856 – d.May 14, 1925) was a writer.

Professional History

Haggard's best known works are She: A History of Adventure, which was adapted by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson and Munson Paddock, starting in New Comics #6, and ending in New Adventure Comics #22. Haggard also created the adventurer Allan Quatermain, who later was revived in Alan Moore's first volume of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
