Hawk is a legacy name used by several superheroes acting as the avatar of war, partnered with Dove as Hawk and Dove. The original Hawk was Hank Hall, partner to Don Hall. Following his brother's death he partnered with Dawn Granger until he turned evil and became Monarch. Sasha Martens used the alias while partnered with Wiley Wolverman. Holly Granger became the third Hawk alongside her sister, although Hank returned following Holly's death. The name has been associated with membership in the Birds of Prey and the Teen Titans. Hawk was created by Steve Ditko and Steve Skeates, first appearing in Showcase #75. (1968)
