Notes
- There is another being named Hercules who is known to have operated on Earth at some point during the mid-20th century. This version of Hercules was clean-shaven and wore a leopard-skin loin cloth. He once teamed up with legendary strongman Samson as well as Superboy to protect an ancient cave allegedly filled with vast treasure. [1] With the conclusion of this adventure, Hercules returned to his native time era in ancient Greece. He later found himself propelled forward through time again, this time due to the machinations of Lex Luthor. Hercules met Clark Kent, now an adult, who helped him to adjust to modern society by getting him a job at the Daily Planet. Hercules fell in love with ace reporter Lois Lane, which led to a rivalry between himself and Superman. [2] Whether this version of Hercules is the same being as the legendary Greek hero, or whether he originated in an alternate reality remains unknown.
