Hot Dog is a member of Dog Star Patrol.
History
Hot Dog is a red Dachshund who can generate heat from his body and breathe fire. He was recruited into the Dog Star Patrol to remove the threat of Mechanikat.
He was one of the dogs recruited by Brainy Barker to capture Snooky Wookums. Unfortunately Krypto misinterpreted the situation and came to Snooky's defense, helping him escape.
After Brainy Barker explained Snooky's threat to Krypto, he agreed to help them redeem his mistake. Going to a cat shelter, Hot Dog and the other dogs watched as Snooky turned three shelter cats into mutants with his necklace. With the help of Krypto, Hot Dog and the rest of the Dog Star Patrol manage to defeat the mutants and break Snooky's necklace, who is forced to flee.[1]

Powers
- Alien Physiology
- Pyrokinesis: Due to his natural temperature, Hot Dog can manipulate the fire that comes off and out of his body. He has complete control over that and any other fire.
- Thermokinesis: He can actively heat up and cool down his body though he never chooses to cool it down unless scolded to.
- Thermal-Blast: He can project his fire outwards into great blasts of flame.
Weaknesses
- Rage: Hot Dog can be easily angered.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the Krypto the Superdog TV Series and is an adaptation of Hot Dog. The original character was created by George Papp and first appeared in Superboy #131.
