Synopsis for "A Touch of Evil"

A woman and her lover plot to murder her husband after she comes into possession of a bronze statuette that the pair become convinced can grant wishes. The woman does not trust her lover, however, so after he wishes the statuette give him an idea for killing her in a way to make it appear an accident he discovers she had written a letter to the police implicating him in the husband's murder should anything happen to her. He flees from the police with the statuette wishing for what he needs into a funeral home only to be shot dead by the police, falling into an open casket.

Synopsis for "Headlines of Doom"

A news editor discovers that whatever headline is printed on an old press comes true. The first time he notices one of his employees makes a typo changing 'mountain lion kills two' to 'fountain lion kills two' and when outside by a construction crew a crane breaks off a fountain lion statue which crushes two of the men. He thinks that it must be just a bizarre coincidence so he tests it and it works once more. He decides to get rid of his publisher by having the headline printed that the man burns in Hell and the man crashes his car into a carnival amusement named Inferno. He is plotting grander schemes when all of a sudden his head is engulfed in tremendous pain and he makes his way back to the office. They are shocked at his appearance. He is unaware that his employees have been plotting to run a special edition celebrating his twenty years at the job but his careless employee has gotten the headline wrong once again and it states "Here's to twenty more ears!"
