Synopsis for "Days of Rage"

James Cooper is about to be adopted by a couple, but his bitterness leads him to escape before he can meet with his new parents. He happens to sneak past a mother and son, and is reminded of his own deceased mother's efforts to raise him well. He returns to his old apartment, finding that his family's things are still there. He realizes that the gang who murdered his family still has control of his town, and decides to do something about it.
James breaks into an ATM and steals some money. He buys household materials that can be used to make bombs, creating homemade landmines, and placing them in areas where drug dealers and gangs hang out. The resulting explosions lead to a gang war in New York City. Huntress intervenes in one outbreak, but she soon realizes that the gang wars are going to overwhelm her city.
In Gotham City, a mob boss named Rage plans to torture and kill one of Gotham's finest. However, Rage has a responsibility to return to New York to reunite the gangs under one standard. He prepares to kill the captured cop, but he is interrupted by Batman. Rage escapes as Batman frees the cop and takes out Rage's men. Batman arrives on the roof too late to stop Rage from escaping to New York in a helicopter.
Huntress witnesses another gang war tussle, but it is suddenly broken up by Rage, who promises to unite the gangs into a stronger force. He tells them that someone is trying to separate them and keep them fighting, and he says that he will lead them in getting justice. Huntress realizes that despite the danger Rage poses, his plans will bring peace to her neighbourhood, at least temporarily.
Suddenly, she realizes that Batman has appeared on the scene. Huntress ties him up, and prevents him from interfering.
