Ibn al Xu'ffasch translates literally as Son of the Bat, a name given to the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul. This character was originally created in the non-canon Batman: Son of the Demon graphic novel. He was brought back into continuity after Infinite Crisis in the Batman and Son storyline with the name Damian Wayne.

Despite not being a regular part of continuity for nearly twenty years after his introduction, the character was introduced in several Elseworlds stories. Ibn al Xu'ffasch was an important part of The Kingdom and Kingdom Come. Another version of this character called Tallant Wayne was introduced in Batman: Brotherhood of the Bat.
