Listen, Impulse, I want to ... to thank you. Despite the fact that things got a bit ... chaotic for some time there ... you never quit. You did do the right thing. I know you were trying. That's what makes a hero.

Synopsis for "A Circle of Fire Epilogue: Strange Impulses"
Adam Strange and Green Lantern arrive on the planet of Rann where the monster named Amphibitus already has left a trail of destruction after it was freed inadvertantly by Impulse. Adam Strange warns Green Lantern that Amphibitus grows stronger when power is exerted against it. Instead, the heroes are watching how Impulse arrives and uses dampening bonds which were specially developed by Adam's father-in-law Sardath to detain Amphibitus.
All heroes get together in Sardath's laboratory. The scientist explains that the dampening bonds need huge amounts of power, but the necessary nuclear reactor of Ranagar is about to melt down because after the lava hit the sea it's water does not have the low temperature anymore to cool it down. While Sardath looks to develop another portion of the serum which can put Amphibitus back into artificial hibernation, Green Lantern and Impulse set off to somehow cool down the nuclear power plant.
While Adam Strange tries to slow down the monster with no effect, Green Lantern and Impulse reach the dried-up sea bed. Impulse immediately looks to rescue some of the stranded sea creatures which Kyle thinks is a waste of time. But Bart's actions give Green Lantern an idea and he he takes off for the polar ice cap.
The plan seems to fail as Amphibitus is attracted by the nuclear reactor and will eventually destroy it. Green Lantern is towing a huge piece of ice with him and after Impulse took Adam Strange out of harm's way he suggests to drop the ice on the monster. Green Lantern does so and, thus, Amphibitus is knocked out while the remaining ice pieces can be used to cool down the reactor. Impulse quickly delivers the serum from Sardath to the shore and Amphibitus is put back into hibernation. Adam Strange congratulates Impulse on his good work and already a little later the Zeta-Beam transports Impulse, Green Lantern and Adam Strange back to Earth ...
