She is one of Themyscira's most skillful blacksmiths, having created some of the most advanced Amazon weapons. A loyal warrior, she has a crush on Wonder Woman (Diana) and will gladly launch into battle for her princess.

Io was part of the forces that ventured into the Metropolis Metro Station Building where Giganta had captured Wonder Girl. In order to expedite Circe's body stealing plot, new villains had to defeat Io and take the Mirror of Narcissus from her.
