History
Iron Jaws was the pet timber wolf of Little Fawn, the young daughter of a Pawnee Indian Chief. The tribe was decimated by an infection of Small Pox which was purposely given to them by a man named Craig, who hoped to wipe them out. Jonah Hex, who had befriended the Little Fawn and her tribe, would take Iron Jaws under his care, the two would become companions.
After a few adventures with Hex, Iron Jaws would one day get bit by a rattle snake, and in spite of medical attention the animal would die when in spite of its injuries it would save Hex from a gunsel named Butcher and his brother Dave, who had got the drop on Hex and left him tied up in the desert to die in the sun.
