Synopsis for "In Search Of..."

Upon the team's return [1] Atom-Smasher gave himself up for trial over his illegal actions in Kahndaq. The courtroom is closed off from the non-essential members leaving Alan Scott, Jay Garrick and Ted Grant to fend through the press and question Al's motives. Similarly Michael Holt and Carter Hall discuss the ethics of murder and of death.

Inside the courtroom Al pleads guilty and The Society plot with Black Adam. Inside the JSA Brownstone Courtney and Ma Hunkel watch the crowds protesting Al's JSA membership when Kendra announces that there are visitors on the roof. Metamorpho and Fire had come to speak with Power Girl about Blue Beetle's death.[2]

In Salem, Massachusetts Hourman (Rick Tyler) is approached by Nabu while looking for the Tower of Fate for Jakeem Williams, who is currently trapped inside his pen.

Whilst Al is being escorted into police custody Mister Terrific's T-Spheres begin going haywire before an OMAC unit appears. The JSA attack the adaptable android but can not gain a foothold against it until Atom-Smasher crushes it beneath his feet. As the police re-arrest Al, the OMAC escapes into a crowd and Al is driven off to Belle Reve where he overhears a radio broadcast of Courtney saying that she'll be there for him as he is still JSA. Suddenly a knock upon his cell door is followed by Amanda Waller's voice offering to have a little chat.
