Synopsis for "The Way Of The Warrior"

Takion loses his connection to the Source and his powers momentarily, returning to his natural form as the blind Joshua Saunders. Before transforming, both Takion and Highfather sense a disturbance in the Source. On Apokolips, Darkseid also feels the Source is weak and in pain by a terrible force, and if that force cannot be controlled, it will wipe the universe to create the fifth world in its place.

On Metropolis, Verna Walker visits her paralytic brother Willy, and she's shocked to see him become the Black Racer in front of her.

The Forever People look for the help of Vykin's mother to fix Orion's condition, who remains in a contemplative state ever since his detachment from Desaad. Since Valkyra was the one who taught martial arts to Orion, they expect her to teach him the way of the warrior again. Valkyra challenges Orion to a duel, and Orion regains his lust for battle. However, Highfather interrupts the fight to warn the Genesisians that something threatens the Source and that the day of judgment is upon them.

Synopsis for "Go West Young God"

It's been 54 years since Scott Free arrived on the 19th Century England and set up a life with Francine, who has grown sick and old enough to be his grandmother while he remains young and healthy. One day, Metron visits his home, warning him that the pact between New Genesis and Apokolips has been broken, and Darkseid will mobilize his forces throughout the universe. Suddenly, Francine's condition worsens, and she passes away while Scott soothes her pain with his Mother Box. With Francine gone, Scott has no reason to remain in England, so Metron takes him to the Americas, where he must prepare for the coming crisis.
