Jarvis Pennyworth was the father of Alfred Pennyworth and long-time servant to the Wayne family.
History
Little is known about Jarvis, except that while he was working for the Waynes, Alfred was still living in England. Jarvis was one of the few to know that Martha Wayne had been pregnant with a second child.
Before the car crash, Jarvis was left alone at Wayne Manor when a Talon was sent from the Court of Owls. Jarvis was killed by the Talon, right before the car crash, on the corner of Lincoln and March.

- Jarvis Pennyworth was created by Don C. Cameron, first appearing in Batman #16. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Jarvis Pennyworth first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Batman (Volume 2) #9 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
