After getting the ability to move at superhuman speeds, Jay Garrick became Mercury and served the American government along with other masked heroes during the Second World War. Garrick was undercover in Russia under the alias Jakob when The Bat summons all available covert agents to attack Dru-Zod (Earth-40). Following the end of the conflict, it is unknown what happened to Jay.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Powers
Earth-40's Jay seems to be at a level close to that of his pre-Flashpoint New Earth counterpart when not connected to the speed force, so he can move his whole body rapidly, as well as run great distances. However, his endurance suggests that he isn't without limits, as he was panting when he returned from Tyler Chemicals, although he was also strong enough once there to bring Terry Sloane to Chernobyl.
