Detective John Corbeau, alias "King Peacock" is an officer working for the Neopolis Police Department, more affectionately known as the "Top 10." He is a highly pious follower of the Yazidi religion, and is often referred to as a "Devil Worshipper" by others. Corbeau is able to perform superhuman feats and detect faults and weak spots in everyday objects, apparently by communing with the devil. He is also an excellent hand-to-hand combatant. He is married with three children and is a good father and a loyal husband despite his misogynistic beliefs. His partner on the force is Synaesthesia Jackson.
Five years after the Ultima incident, the Corbeaus are shown to have a fourth child.
