HistoryEdit

John Monroe was a former colleague of physicist Professor Martin Stein. He was transformed into a were-creature who called himself the Weasel. As the Weasel, he began stalking the campus of Vandermeer University, targeting specific faculty members in order to feel "safe". He found that Martin Stein had recently begun working at Vandermeer, replacing one of the Weasel's victims, Professor Peter Banks. He attacked Martin Stein at the Hotel Sheridan in Pittsburgh, and would have killed him, had Stein not prompted the transformation into Firestorm. [1]

Weasel was later recruited into the Suicide Squad in a mission to rescue Hawk. During the mission, he managed to cause the apparent death of Thinker. Upon wearing the Thinker helmet, Rick Flag Jr. was told by the Thinker helmet to kill Weasel which Rick Flag Jr. did. Weasel's death was not mourned.[2]

During the Blackest Night, Weasel's dead body was among those entombed in the Hall of Justice. When the Black Power Rings flew in, Weasel's body was among the dead bodys that were reanimated by the Black Power Rings and inducted into the Black Lantern Corps.[3]

NotesEdit

  • Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985-86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
