In publications around the Batman Beyond-concept, the Jokerz are a street gang. Styling themselves in clownish garb and white grease paint, they cause no end of trouble to the citizens of Gotham City. They often engage in robberies, vandalism, and the occasional throw-down with their rivals, the T's. There have been several groups of Jokerz, lead by clowns like J-Man, Terminal and Chucko. They were created by Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, Bruce Timm and Glen Murakami, and first appeared in the premiere episode Rebirth of the Batman Beyond animated series. (1999) |
