Synopsis for "The Fugitive!"

Jonah Hex is in the midst of escaping from the Sheriff and his posse. He is a wanted fugitive with a $10,000 price on his head. Jonah recounts how he is being falsely accused of a triple murder in Wyandott Texas. He is under the assumption that only secret service agent Ned Landon can clear his name. Hex is unaware that Landon is not a secret service agent and that Landon himself is responsible for killing the three lawmen in Wyandott. Hex is further unaware that Landon was killed by a mysterious figure that is bent on ruining his life. Hex escapes the posse through a Marsh and comes upon a lonely cabin in the distance. The cabin is occupied by a blind Quaker named Mr Jacobs who spends most of the time reading his bible. He offers Hex food and medical assistance, but it isn’t long before the Sheriff’s posse returns to the cabin looking for Hex. The Sheriff gives Jacobs a good description of what Hex looks like but Jacob remarks that there has been no one that has come by the cabin. The Sheriff thanks Jacobs and continues on his way. Hex is confused as to why Jacobs did not turn him over but Jacobs merely remarks that he is a pacifist and does not believe in violence. At this point a flaming Kerosene bursts through the window of the cabin. Jacobs reveals that it could be Matt Henson’s men. Henson is determined to buy Jacob’s land for some reason but Jacobs is unwilling to sell. Hex disguises himself as the blind Quaker and heads to the front of the cabin to confront the arsonists. He takes them by surprise and guns all of them down except for two that escape. The survivors immediately go to Henson to report what happened. It isn’t long before Henson figures out that the assailant that killed his men was the fugitive Johan Hex. Henson orders his men to notify the Sheriff and he further rounds up some more of his own men to confront Hex. In the meantime Hex scours Jacob’s land to see why Henson wants it so badly. He soon discovers that the property is filled with valuable Turquoise. He returns to the Jacob cabin to report his findings when he meets Jacob’s daughter Faith. Pleasantries are exchanged but Faith soon spots a wanted poster revealing that Hex is a criminal. Her father admits that he knows Hex is a criminal but emphasizes that she should love thine enemies. Faith is outraged and heads towards the door to notify the Sheriff. She is then surprised to see that the cabin is surrounded by Henson’s men. They apprehend her and order Jacobs to hand over Hex. They also want Jacobs to vacate his land. Hex then escapes through the back door and performs a surprise attack on Henson and his men. A deadly shoutout ensues but Hex survives with a few injuries. Faith and her father assist Hex in returning to the cabin. They mend his wounds but it isn’t long before the Sheriff comes knocking on the door. Hex escapes once more on horseback and rides away
