Synopsis for "The Extremist Vector (Part V of V): Pushing the Button"
Silver Sorceress recognizes the man as "Uncle" Mitch Wacky, creator of a beloved theme park and many cartoon series. He disappeared years ago, having had himself preserved cryogenically until a cure for his ailment could be found, and is devastated to find out his world's been destroyed by the Extremists.
On Earth, Max Lord meets with J'onn J'onzz, announcing the world has decided to give into the Extremists' demands for surrender. If only to give the remaining League time to try to do something about the nuclear missiles.
Mitch reactivates Carny's head to find out what's been going on in his amusement park since he went into coldsleep. He's told that after the bombs fell, the robots kept kept operating as they always had, even making robot versions of the Assemblers and Extremists to add a flashy new attraction to the park. There was a great battle between good and evil, but evil won, and the robot Extremists had been terrorizing the last dregs of humanity left on their world ever since.
Back on Earth, having received humanity's surrender, Lord Havok orders the nuclear missiles lowered back to the ground. Should there be any resistance, however, he warns he'll have Dr. Diehard set the nukes off in their silos.
Developing a plan to tackle the Extremists, Captain Atom has Silver Sorceress teleport them back to Earth. The JLE launches a devastating surprise attack on the villains, when suddenly Mitch steps out and confronts the Extremists. They immediately all bow in obedience to their creator, who turns them off with a remote killswitch. Dreamslayer, who was not a robot, attacks the JLE in a rage. Silver Sorceress reflects his magic so that it obliterates him instead.
Later, the inert bodies of the Extremists are given to a wax museum.
