Synopsis for "Bloody London"
Dockworker "Richard Plante" is approached by a government agency to be the first part of a new English federally-sponsored Superhero program, partially for his physical prowess and courage, and also because he's a direct descendant of King Richard I.
The Elongated Man, Metamorpho and Tasmanian Devil are all searching for leads on the mysterious serial killers brutally dismembering people in the London area, who are in actuality the three alien Parasites "Pritor", "Gemir" and "Glonth" feeding on the human spinal fluid they need to survive.
Plante, given a high-tech battlesuit and an energy sword, and calling himself "Lionheart" is sent out by his superior "Lord Whitestone" to not only track down the serial killer, but to attempt to embarrass the JLI in the process, and make room for more National heroes in Great Britain as opposed to 'foreign meddlers'.
Lionheart finds himself working with the JLI, although he considers them ridiculous, and plans to eventually denounce them after capturing the villains for himself. Eventually, the three Parasites decide to hide in the Justice League Embassy, and simply wait for the heroes to stop them at the source. The four heroes are alerted by a distress call from Maya, and they arrive at the castle to find the three aliens waiting in ambush. There's an immense conflict, and while the Parasites are able to knock out both Tasmanian Devil and Metamorpho, the Elongated Man is forced to throw himself in front of Pritor to distract him while Pritor is attempting to feed on Lionheart. As Pritor is about to kill the Elongated Man, Lionheart is given courage by his attempted sacrifice, and vows that no man will give his life for him. He then springs up and attacks Pritor, also getting the other Parasites into an argument. While Pritor wishes to stand and fight, Gemir and Glonth believe it best to run away with what they have and not endanger their mission anymore; Pritor is forced to follow them.
As he calls the police to the scene, Lionheart ponders whether he should attempt to disavow the Justice League for their defeat, as Lord Whitestone had instructed him to. He decides that it would be unfitting for one such as him to deny the virtues of those as courageous as the JLI, whom he has only just really seen in action, and before he collapses from blood loss, honors the Justice League International in his distress call.
