Justice League Watchtower

History

The Justice League Watchtower was a perimeter fortress and headquarters of the JLA. Serving as Earth's first line of defense, it was constructed on the moon so that the JLA could monitor the affairs of the entire planet without necessarily aligning with any one particular nation. The pylons and external structure of the Watchtower was built from the wreckage of the previous Justice League's satellite headquarters. ^[1] The design of the fortress was patterned after the architecture used in Martian military structures such as Z'onn Z'orr.

Notes

• The new orbiting JLA Watchtower contains holding cells that use a special force field to dampen superpowers. Even supervillains who are master escape artists, like the Key, have been unable to escape from these holding cells.

• The new Watchtower is now a satellite that is placed in gyrosynchroness orbit, 22,300 miles above the Earth.

• Green Lantern John Stewart helped draw up plan for this new headquarters.

• The Kitchen is located here and gives environmental and full simulations for training purposes.
