Synopsis for "Last Stand"
Separately, Vixen and the Martian Manhunter hunt for Professor Ivo, determined that he should pay for the deaths of Steel and Vibe, slain by his androids. Vixen follows his scent while J'onn uses a device constructed by Steel's grandfather, Hank Heywood Sr.. Vixen encounters Ivo first, and is soon attacked by a small army of androids and appears to die. However, as they and the Martian Manhunter discover, she is very much alive and fights back against them. She then snaps Ivo's neck, something J'onn had been unable to do. Ivo, however, is a sophisticated android himself - Vixen had detected this and realised that the real Ivo was close by. Entering a room, they find Ivo in a straightjacket, utterly insane and not in control of his own actions.
There will be no true justice for Steel and Vibe. Vixen has realised that she wishes to leave the Justice League now. It is not because the world outside, fuelled by G. Gordon Godfrey's hate, has turned against super-heroes, but because she feels that their choice of path is not the right one and possibly never was. J'onn, however, wishes to continue - but how can he, when he is the only member remaining?
