Kahloans are the indigenous people of the planet Kahlo in Sector 3897. Their world is protected by the Green Lantern known as Orlan. Many Kahloans devote themselves towards the development of Belamort, a bio-engineered plant that induces a psychotropic effect on the brain.
In 2009, a bizarre supernatural virus nearly wiped out the populace of Kymera, one of Kahlo's major population centers. Green Lantern Hal Jordan came to Kahlo, along with the Phantom Stranger to offer Orlan some assistance.
