Kako was a young Inuit girl and Aquaman's first love. Kako lived in Alaska who befriended a young Orin. Aquaman never knew she got pregnant and had a son, Koryak.

She was nearly beaten to death Aquaman's young brother Orm who grows up to become Ocean Master, because she loved Aquaman and not him. Kako at the time was pregnant with Aquaman's ilegitimate son Koryak.

Years later she was turned into a Fire Elemental called Corona.
