Karate Kid was an ongoing series featuring the Legionnaire Val Armorr, aka, the Karate Kid, and his adventures on 20th century Earth. Not counting Superboy and Supergirl, the Karate Kid is the first member of the Legion of Super-Heroes to receive their own spin-off series. Subsequent Legionnaire solo titles would include Cosmic Boy and Timber Wolf. Recurring villains in this series included, Commander Blud, Diamondeth, the Lord of Time and Major Disaster.
