According to Red Tornado, 106-year-old Kent Nelson, as Doctor Fate, was a charter member of the Justice Society, precursor to the Justice League. Twenty-three days before being brought to the attention of Young Justice, Nelson was abducted by Abra Kadabra, an agent of Klarion the Witch Boy. Young Justice came to rescue him, but Klarion struck him down during the ensuing battle. His spirit went on to possess the Helmet of Fate to keep Nabu company.[1]
