History
Kent Nelson, as Doctor Fate, was a charter member of the Justice Society, precursor to the Justice League. Nelson was abducted by Abra Kadabra, an agent of Klarion the Witch Boy. The Team came to rescue him, but Klarion struck him down during the ensuing battle. His spirit went on to possess the Helmet of Fate to keep Nabu company.[1]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Young Justice and is an adaptation of Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate. The original character was created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman and first appeared in More Fun Comics #55.
- Kent Nelson was voiced by Ed Asner.
