Killer Frost is a legacy super-villain name with ice powers, usually an enemy to Firestorm. Originally Crystal Frost used the name, a Hudson University student who angrily hated men. Her successor was Louise Lincoln, a friend who took up the mantle after her death. After the New 52 relaunch, Caitlin Snow was introduced as the first to take the name in the new timeline, a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs who was transformed during an attempt to save herself from H.I.V.E. agents. The name has been associated with the Injustice League, Secret Society of Super-Villains and the Suicide Squad. Killer Frost was created by Gerry Conway and Al Milgrom, first appearing in Firestorm #3. (1978)
