Kirk Langstrom is a leading expert in cryptozoology at the Gotham Museum of Natural History. Daniel Garrett and Bruce Wayne asked Langstrom about a giant sized bat-creature (Man-Bat) that is terrorizing Gotham City during the nights. In response Langstrom was skeptical of a large bat and shows Bruce and Daniel of a exhibit of normal sized bats stating that bats grows to as "big as they get". Langstrom then advises that the two are chasing a mere fancy, and excuse himself for real work to focus.
