History

Kru-El was the second cousin of Superman, as well as Jor-El, Zor-El, Nim-El, and many other cousins. Kru-El is the son of Zim-El and Byma Ruth-Ar.

Kru-El was born on Krypton, but when he was at adult or late teen age, he committed a terrible crime, and Kru-El was sentenced to the Phantom Zone, where he resided.

Notes

• This version of Kru-El (Earth-One), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the Multiverse in the 1985-86 Crisis on Infinite Earths limited series and is now considered apocryphal.
• Kru-El has never been seen in the comics, but is mentioned in the Krypton Chronicles.
