Lacy Warfield was the editor of Warfield Publications, which the Daily Planet became for a time after her father David Warfield bought the paper's company and changed it to a tabloid-style format.

During her time as the editor, she made advances on Clark Kent. Lois Lane scoffed at this, warning her that Clark is a square, or "the world's oldest Boy Scout". Lacy would later become a victim of Nuclear Man ashe stalked her, then threatened the lives of everybody if he did not fund her. Nuclear Man inexplicably flew her into outer space, barely surviving as Superman caused an eclipse that shut down Nuclear Man's powers, immobilizing him. Lacy and her father were removed from their positions after Perry White bought out the controlling stocks of the Daily Planet, thus restoring editorial control to himself.

  • Lacy Warfield was played by Mariel Hemingway in the movie Superman IV: The Quest For Peace.
  • A deleted scene had Lacy deciding to move away from Metropolis. The scene ends with Clark suggesting that she could move to Smallville and buy the Kent Farm.
  • Lacy was an antithesis of Lois Lane. Whereas Lois was in love with Superman and dismissed Clark Kent, Lacy seemed to be unimpressed with Superman's powers and acted on her nascent attraction to Clark, whom she viewed an upright, ordinary man.
