Legion of Substitute Heroes

The Legion of Substitute Heroes is a 30th Century super-hero team of rejected applicants to the Legion of Super-Heroes, who they originally deemed their super-powers as useless. They were founded by Polar Boy, Night Girl, Stone Boy, Fire Lad, and Chlorophyll Kid to prove themselves as actual heroes. The Legion of Substitute Heroes were created by Edmond Hamilton and John Forte, first appearing in Adventure Comics #306. (1963)
