Legion of Super-Heroes Annual (Volume 4) #6 is an issue of the series Legion of Super-Heroes Annual (Volume 4) with a cover date of June, 1995.

Synopsis for "Deep Background"

An angry Erin walked into the headquarters after Captain Hagbard assigned her with the Legion dossiers. She started by researching members of the Legion before researching R.J. Brande, the Stargates, the Legion Headquarters, as well as its staff, interior, equipment, and the United Planets. Then, she pulled up the file of the last Legionnaire, Leviathan. Erin was moved by the stories of the Legionnaires before finishing her task. As Erin was leaving, Vekko teasingly asked her if she was "heading out on her flight ring" and she jokingly claimed to be "Liaison Lass" and that her "power", which was useless in combat, she'd be lucky to become a cadet or reservist and would be proud to be part of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Synopsis for "Kinetix: From Dawn to Darkness"

In a dream, Kinetix flew over the desert sands at daybreak, came upon a village suffering from starvation and disease, and used her powers to create vegetation. The natives rejoiced for her before she woke up in a tent with Violet. The two were searching for treasure and Violet asked Kinetix if power was important to her. Kinetix answered "yes" and told the story of how her mother discovered the Moon of Koll during one of her expeditions. After her mother was exposed to gas during one of her expeditions, Zoe used the Moon of Koll to heal her. Zoe subsequently became her mother's apprentice in future expeditions. After encountering an energy pool on Titan, she gained telekinetic abilities and helped her mother uncover the fabled Scarabwing Idol.

Kinetix, accompanied by Violet, rushed into a tomb to uncover the Star of Akkos and was possessive of it. The tomb began to collapse and Kinetix was unable to use her powers to stop the collapse. The two escaped and Zoe explained that she didn't want the Star of Akkos for herself and wanted to do good for others.

Synopsis for "Leviathan: Greater Good"

At the Science Police Headquarters on Mars, Lieutenant Gim Allon silenced his fellow officers when they were teasing him while watching a Legion of Super-Heroes commercial and after the team drafted him. The media asked Chief Wilson his opinion on the Legion and he replied that the "whole thing was ludicrous." As Gim walked towards him, the chief claimed that the lieutenant served a greater good with the Science Police, would later serve as a member of his personal staff, and soon have him out of the draft. Gigi pulled up Gim's draft notice and he claimed that being a S.P. officer was something he wanted his whole life.

Gim recalled chasing the Durlan who killed his training officer before getting hit by a meteoroid, subsequently went into a coma, and was sent to a hospital, where he woke up fifteen feet tall a week after waking up. He was interrupted when Stu summoned them to the T'Massii Colonization Office.

Gim and Gigi learned that the T'Massii Colonization Office was bombed and that the upper levels still had hostages. Chief Wilson ordered his men to surround the building from all sides with their cycles, but Gim protested, believing that it would be suicide. Gim insisted on going up himself, but Chief Wilson believed him to be more valuable on the ground. As the cycles were shot down, Gim disobeyed Wilson's order and used his powers to grow giant and save the hostages. As Wilson was being interviewed by the media, Gim announced his resignation and his plan to join the Legion. Gigi, on the other hand, was being sent to Earth by the U.P. to find Lyle Norg.

Trivia

  • Gim Allon's origin story is a continuation from his introduction in Legionnaires #0. After he informs her that he will be leaving the Science Police for the Legion of Super-Heroes, Gigi Cusimano responds that she is travelling to Earth, because the United Planets wants her to find Lyle Norg. That also occurs in Legionnaires #0.
