Legion of Super-Heroes Vol 2 291
From DC Database
Has it not struck you that Mordru's babbling indicates that this is most probably a result of efforts of the Servants of Darkness... or their master, who we know nothing about... except for the solitary chilling fact that he seems capable of casually stealing the power from our deadliest enemy for his own use?

Synopsis for Great Darkness Saga, Chapter Two: ... A Sign of Darkness Dawning"
Mon-El and Shadow Lass analyze a female member of the Servants of Darkness. Shadow Lass is bothered by the fact that this particular specimen is cloned from the DNA of her ancestor Lydea Mallor. On the planet Avalon, the Servants of Darkness use the Astro-Force to awaken Mordru from his slumber beneath the earth. Mordru rebels against the servants, but their shadowy leader appears and renders Mordru insensate. At the United Planets Government complex, Reep Daggle confers with his lawyer over his pending imprisonment. At Legion HQ, the Legionnaires cast their initial ballots for a new team leader. Element Lad is very eager to maintain his position as leader. Later, Mon-El, Shadow Lass and Ultra Boy go to Takron-Galtos to clean up after a massive escape attempt. They come into conflict with the Servants of Darkness. Another squad of Legionnaires goes to Avalon where they find Mordru sitting in a smoldering crater mumbling to himself. They know that the Servants' leader is more powerful than even their toughest adversaries. Another group of Legionnaires attend Dream Girl to her home world Naltor to meet up with her sister the White Witch. The Servants of Darkness appear there as well and fight the Legionnaires. Dream Girl has a vision and learns that they are fated to lose against the Servants and their master.

| Darkseid versus the Legion of Super-Heroes Having survived into the 30th Century, Darkseid has occasionally come into conflict with the Legion of Super-Heroes. This has happened twice to the Legion of Pre-Zero Hour continuity during both the events of Great Darkness Saga and The Quiet Darkness, and the Post-Zero Hour Legion met him during Legion: Foundations.
