History

An explorer from New Genesis, Lonar preferred solitude from his fellow New Gods , preferring instead to excavate the valleys surrounding New Genesis' capital city Supertown. He was one of the first to discover remnants of the Old Gods. He found and freed an Old God steed, which he named Thunderer.

• Lonar was first introduced in his own back-up feature in Forever People (Volume 1) #5. A second story was featured in the back of Forever People (Volume 1) #7. He then made sporadic appearances in the first New Gods ongoing series, appearing in issues 12, 14, 15 and 16. He was later seen as an important figure during the Cosmic Odyssey and appeared last in issues of Blue Beetle (Volume 2).
