Long Tom was a trick-shooting midget who worked as a traveling entertainer in Buffalo Will's Wild West Show. He became friends with Jonah Hex after saving the bounty hunter's life, and invited him to work at the revue.^[1] Hex left their camp with his friend Spotted Balls to take a freak called the Bear Boy back to his family; they were alleged to be spirit people. Buffalo Will sent a posse after Hex to have them all murdered, and Long Tom lead the hunting party.^[2] He was hilariously killed when Hex was able to spot his hiding place because of the silly hat he always wears.^[3]
