Synopsis for "Lot 13, Chapter Three"
Austin returns to the family's room with blood all over him, muttering that someone got it all wrong; that somebody didn't do it. When questioned, he claims that while he was nearly killed by two ghosts, a massive monster suddenly appeared. The younger ghost explained that this was a demon of Austin's creation, before being crushed in the creature's fist. Austin ran to help the boy, wedging a hatchet's blade into its toe, but to no avail. Realizing that Austin had tried to help his son, the elder ghost urged him to run. Hearing this, the family agrees that they need to leave immediately, though Austin warns that the ghosts will never let them leave - they'll kill the whole family in order to escape their plight.
Making their way toward the exit, the family is stopped by a wall of bloody flesh, and the ghosts warning that they can never leave. As the family tries to find a way out, a veritable army of ghosts begins chasing them down. Unexpectedly, the father-ghost from before leaps out and holds the army back long enough for Ron and Judy to gather their kids into their suite - but not before they witness their saviour's soul being devoured.
It isn't long before the door is broken down, and they are all captured and carried away to a makeshift court. The judge has Ron tied to a wooden stump, and sentences him to death for the crime of trespassing into the world of the dead. As his executioner raises his heavy mallet, Ron begs his family not to watch. The hammer comes down, and Ron's brains are spattered everywhere, before his family's horrified eyes.
