Funk's origin is unknown, but he is probably just a metahuman. He was present at a baseball game where he saw Power Girl. In his mind, she became his girlfriend. Attempting a robbery, he was sent to prison, where he was fitted with a power dampener implant. However, he was able to negate the implant, and tried to seduce Power Girl by defeating her. She regards him as a nuisance.
He returned to prison. Years later, he got out of prison somehow, and was hired by a shadowy villain to kill the Justice Society. [1]Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Funk has superhuman strength and durability sufficient to challenge Power Girl in a straight fight.
- He also has an ability he refers to as "touching the spot". With this, he can agitate individual molecules in an object, usualy starting a chain reaction that explodes the object.
- He may also be able to fly, but he might simply be able to jump large distances.
