Ma Parker is a single mother and the leader of her famous criminal family gang, consisting of her children: Pretty Boy, Machine Gun, Mad Dog, and Legs Parker. She had a long criminal record for operating in other states but was never apprehended, until she was stopped by Batman and Robin in Gotham City. Though she has great devotion for her children, she favors her three sons over her daughter, saying that girls shouldn't be in criminal activities. Parker was inspired by the 1930s figure Kate "Ma" Barker, who was popularly depicted as a gang leader who went on violent crime sprees with her sons. Barker also inspired two other Batman villainess; Ma Gunn and Ma Mayhem.
Ma Parker was created by William Dozier and Henry Slesar, first appearing in the Batman episode The Greatest Mother of Them All (1966).
