Manticores are legendary magical creatures with the head of a human, the body of a lion and a tail of venomous spines similar to porcupine quills,[1] while other depictions have it with the tail of a scorpion. Some, however, may have a lion's head with horns and dragon wings.[2] Not to be confused with Sphinxes.
