History
Martin Jordan was an Air Force test pilot and an employee of Ferris Aircraft. On a fate-filled mission, Martin failed to save a malfunctioning fighter jet and crashed to the ground. His young son Hal witnessed his father's death and was forever haunted by his passing. Hal always wondered if his father died with fear in his heart, and as he grew older, he committed himself to honoring his father's memory and bravery.
Notes:
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985-86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
