When it comes to digital-first (as opposed to digital ONLY), we try to wait until the print edition comes out, and not bother with the digital versions, because they're essentially the same.
Digital only is a different story.
So, the reason the pages for the digital issues were not made is because they shouldn't be made, and the reason some of those pages were made for the other books, is that somebody jumped the gun.
Oh okay, so does that mean the 3 individual digital chapter articles should be redirected to the compilation pages?
I'm not sure if a non-digital publication of the 24 'girls' series following them has had an in-print compilation yet. I could see that for some of the longer series (brainiac, etc.) but some of them are 1-shots. Presumably if it follows the 3-chapters-per we could see 8 books out of it, though I don't know if they'd be grouped in order or not.
Well, we've got Ame-Comi Girls Vol 1 1 so far. I think that came out last month. So, I think that will cover the straight up "girls" issues.
All of the "Featuring" books have been printed, so far.
I think redirecting the individual issues would be good. If there's any info on those pages, though, it would be good to add those to the collection pages, since those are probably empty.
Perhaps the info could also be separated into chapters on that basis with a mention of their distinct digital publication dates prior to the compilation printing date?
So Vol 1 1 of Ame-Comi girls... that's more than just the first digital chapter? Makes me wonder how many of the chapters are in it.
I don't know what you mean by "separated into chapters"
We have a system for books that have more than one story already.
It just requires having a StoryTitle2 (or 3 or 4 or 5 etc) section and corresponding appearances, credits, and synopsis.
Usually, it's two or three.
Those digital comics are usually only 5-8 pages, so three of them makes a 20-or-so page print comic.
This might be an exception, the 3 WW digichapters were 22/23/22 so that's er... 77 pages printed. Would almost make one of those nicer-looking compilations that libraries tend to buy rather than the flimsier thin comics.
Hm, ~13/14/13 when brought over probably then, I guess the digital ones must've had 9 pages of padding then. I'm only seeing three though...
Looking at the digital one though, the layout kinda seems like the're half-pages, because unlike normal comics where the height is more than the width, the width is larger than the height here, probably because they're designed to display on widescreen monitors.
So that'd explain why it's only slightly more than half if most of the pages were doubled up on when printed.
Thank you for uploading new content to the DC Database project!
We have lots of images in our database, 88,955 in fact, and in order to keep them organized we use a system of naming, categories and licensing added to each.
Please review our Naming Conventions for Images. Images are categorized by name, so a descriptive name rather than a string of numbers is important.
As a guide, look what other images in a character's gallery are called, and continue with the same name and number. If you upload a first image of a character, use "[Name] [Universe] 001". Ignore the Universe designation if it is a New Earth character.
Issue covers should be given at least the title of the series, the volume and the number. A name similar to the issue is preferred: "Title Vol 1 1". Textless covers should be called "Title Vol 1 1 Textless". Files that do not indicate the issue number will be deleted.
Add the Image Template to the images you upload. This is mandatory. Fill it in as detailed here, or below.
Selecting the proper license is vital to properly maintaining our images. Please choose the license which best describes the image you are uploading. The most commonly used are 'Comic Single Panel' and 'Comic Cover', respectively.
Other fields that should be filled in: Issue, Subject1, Artist. Add Source if you've taken it from a different site. If you've taken it from a different site and don't know the issue, DO NOT UPLOAD IT.
In addition, please take a moment to review our policies page and more specifically our image policy.
Questions can be directed to any of our admins, or asked on our forums.
You did not include the source issue on BirdsOfPreyKnockoutScandal.jpg. Please do so. If you don't know, don't upload it.
Salvation Run: For further details: Death of the New Gods
The Secret Six came apart soon after Azerbaijani, and Scandal was left alone with her lover Knockout in a Metropolis motel. Kidding around, she made a comment about how Knockout was too busy getting beaten by Big Barda. This sent Knockout off in a rage to find Big Barda and prove who was the better combatant.
This seems related to the image as they were arguing about Barda and Knockout was angry that Scandal thought they were equals.
DotNG seems to be an 8 issue series though, so further research will be needed to narrow down which one had this scene.
Ah, was doing both to be safe. Anyway while it doesn't directly show it (I daresay no image DC publishes is utterly explicit) it implies it well enough. Didn't even know there was more than one volume of BI =/
I was just going over your edits involving Santa Claus and I noticed a few problems. First of all, you linked some of the using the {{apn| instead of the {{a| code. The apn needs you to add a previous and next appearance at the end of the tag or it shows them as appearing in the previous and next issue of that series. In general, you should use the {{a|. You also forgot the brackets ie . Santa should be linked Santa Claus and say Robin should be Robin.
Another thing is that 3 of the 4 appearances were on the cover only. I moved Santa down to the Other Characters section and added a Cover Only note so readers know he doesn't appear in the actual story.
The last thing is I saw you added him to a couple covers. We've started a new policy where we no longer tag characters appearing on cover images. It adds those images to their character images categories and we've decided those images are just ugly. If you want to tag him on a textless cover, that's fine but the fully dressed covers aren't getting tagged like that any longer.
That's a lot of text for some pretty minor issues but I thought you'd want to know about it. Anyway, you're doing good edits.
Sorry about the APN, I had seen that used on some other characters and noticed it made the category show up at the bottom and when I saw just A I thought it was a shortening that did the same thing.
The lack of brackets still seemed to make a hyperlink though... I previewed it beforehand and it still linked to the page, doesn't the template allow for that?
In a lot of cases we have only the covers with text and not the textless covers, do you think we could maybe have a different (sub?) category for the ugly cover appearances? That way we could still organize the ugly text covers to track char appearances that are prominent like this while not grouping them in with the prettier panel / raw art images.
The lack of the straight brackets really doesn't hurt anything on its own. The link still works with the others. Its really only "necessary" when we want to move things. The move bot doesn't recognize a link without them. So while they aren't vital for the link itself to work, we still use them in case there is ever a need for a move.
As for the covers, its a sort of new policy and there hasn't really been any discussion on it going forward. The admins have decided not to link characters on them any more. Nothing's been said about a sub-category for character images. If you feel a certain cover or character is important, you can still link it. Just as a general rule, we're not linking the characters on the covers any longer.

Regarding Ame-Comi, since you didn't delete the category it was in, I'm not sure why the article, because it helped to overview the book series announced. There are more than just the 4 in the category. We're missing V for Supergirl for example.
Same with Carrie Gordon. The new female Robin in this universe needs a page. I used the licensing template for the picture of her so I'm not sure why File:CarrieGordon.jpg is gone.
And now that I'm going over them, we really don't want you to just take all images from comicvine. And you need to specify the issue, not just the volume.
If I'm using the reality template can I still include a list of issues? Reason being it's also the name of the series of books that takes place in the reality so it seems like it could be either title/reality...
And you really need to specify issue numbers - not "Ame-Comi II: Batgirl Vol 1" but (for example) "Ame-Comi II: Batgirl Vol 1 1" (without the brackets).
Ah okay, the ones I got off tumblr specified those I think. Comicvine didn't but I can ask the uploader. Actually I'm going to read the Batgirl one soon so I could verify independently.
I've already verified some, and deleted the others. As the message above says: If you've taken it from a different site and don't know the issue, DO NOT UPLOAD IT.
Yeah I apologize for the 1 Robin image that was a portion of this image.
The quality was so good I figured it must've been canon. From now on I'll look for a specific issue number associated with a panel or cover or else not upload it.
That said, I notice that with the image template we have here that 'fan art' is one of the options selectable.
If we credit the artist (looks to be "Fhiz" in this case) are there fan galleries related to articles we can put this, or is it only appropriate for userspace?
