Heat Wave was an enemy of the Flash.

History

Mick Rory became the criminal known as Heat Wave who, in the original timeline, caused trouble for Barry Allen (Flash) by joining with other members of the Flash's Rogues Gallery to lure his opponent into the Flash Museum so that the Reverse Flash could set up bombs that would take out the Flash along with the Rogues Gallery members and the Flash Museum. Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Captain Atom, and Cyborg showed up to help Flash deal with the Rogues Gallery and defusing the bombs before they detonated. Superman took Heat Wave to a deserted place and clamped his hands together over the Heat Wave's utility belt to contain the bomb when it detonated, thus saving the villain's life in the process.
