History
Minneapolis-Saint Paul is the most populous urban area in the state of Minnesota, United States, and is composed of 186 cities and townships. Built around the Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers, the area is also nicknamed The Twin Cities for its two largest cities, Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the former the larger and the latter the state capital.
In 1997, the mercenary team known as Dark Nemesis terrorized Minneapolis' Mall of the Universe, encasing the entire building in a force field and taking hostages. They issued a public challenge to Teen Titans to face them in combat. The Titans responded, but were quickly captured by the super-villains. Their leader, the Atom, succeeded in rescuing them and they were able to turn the tables on their opponents, thus defeating them. [1]
