Synopsis for "How Can I Say You're Missing If You Won't Go Away?"

After insulting her cooking, Oberon is kicked out of the house by Barda. He first visits the Bailey truckstop for a drink. He tells Trudy the bartender about his spat with Barda. Trudy suggest Oberon check into the new motel that recently opened up outside of town. The owner of the motel comes into the truckstop occasionally for coffee and to ask Trudy to hang up odd Missing Persons sketches that he draws.

One of the bar patrons offers to drive Oberon out to the motel. Even though the motel is super creepy, Oberon goes in anyway where he's greeted at the front desk by a large man who introduces himself as Albert Hocks. He says there are 13 rooms and 13 vacancies. Oberon also notices more of the Missing Person drawings in the motel lobby. Albert gives Oberon a room and then goes into his office where he begins drawing a Missing Persons poster of Oberon.

Meanwhile, Barda and Scott are discussing Oberon. Barda feels bad about overreacting and blames growing up on Apokolips. She tells Scott to go find Oberon.

The motel sign now reads No Vacancies. Oberon is inside his room but getting hungry, so he ventures back into the lobby to look for a vending machine. He finds one and also finds his own Missing Persons poster hanging up on the lobby wall. Oberon tries to escape but the front door is locked. Albert comes back downstairs so Oberon runs into Albert's office to hide. As Oberon looks at Albert's drawing materials, Albert catches him.

Scott goes to the Bailey truckstop and Tracey tells him that she sent Oberon to the motel outside town. Scott drives to the hotel and walks up to the front door. He's about to open it when Albert suddenly bursts out being chased by a chainsaw-weilding Oberon. It's too dark outside for Oberon to see Scott so he chased both him and Albert with the chainsaw. Scott tells Albert to hide in the bushes as he changes into his Mister Miracle costume and wraps Oberon up in his cape.

Later, Oberon wakes up in his own bed at Barda and Scott's house. Oberon claims that the guy at the motel was a slasher serial killer who killed all his customers and drew missing people posters of them. But Scott explains that Albert is actually a former artist who stressed out over deadlines and now just draws to supplement his income from his failing motel. He hung them up at the truckstop bar for free advertising.
